Raymond Baldonado Jr. who is better known as Fatell, was born April 14th of 1988 in Duarte, California. Brought into this world by an alcoholic father along with a drug addiction and a mother trapped in the middle of his downfall. Despite the heartache, his mother still did her best in raising her daughter and newborn son. Things were challenging but with the time, they eventually got better. Fatell’s father cleaned up his act, got clean and for the first time life seemed normal.
Growing up in school, Fatell was known as the class clown getting others attention with jokes. One day while sitting in his room Fatell heard the record “Juicy” by Notorious B.I.G and became inspired by his lyrics and the message. He began studying hip-hop greats such as Run DMC, LL Cool J, Rakim, Eminem, Big Daddy Kane, etc.
Fatell started practicing his craft and later took it to high school in rap battles against other local artists. Always the underdog, Fatell had something to prove every time he stepped in front of crowds. In time with hard work, dedication and many hours in studios, his efforts, have him shining bright. Strong and passionate along with determination makes Fatell, a stand out artist to watch out for. Bringing positive vibes to this negative world we live in with feel good music packed with substance.
